Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first and second grade students are an enthusiastic bunch! They love to learn and are always eager to share their ideas with others. They especially enjoy our writing workshop time where they have the autonomy to develop stories or write about things that are important to them.

A new and improved writing center will help my students develop as independent writers!

Our class writing center has limited resources, especially when it comes to writing tools. Students need a variety of writing tools to use during workshop time. They need pencils, colored pens, and highlighters to edit and revise their writing. They need clipboards to be able to move freely around the classroom when they share their work with partners. These supplies will make a difference in their daily writing experience.
