My Students

I have 24 amazing kindergartners. I teach in a Title I PreK to Third Grade Elementary school in Northeastern Oklahoma.

Where we are in Oklahoma, we have 9 Tribal Nations that call our corner of the state home and because of that, we have a high Native American student population.

We also have a high ESL population.

My students have the ability to become very successful scholars, so our goal is to help them build the foundation, on which the rest of their education is formed.

My Project

My wonderful students need a Microsoft Surface Go touchscreen laptop to better enhance their learning. My students come from various educational backgrounds, so their skill level varies as well. With a touchscreen laptop I will be able to give them access to different educational apps that meets their needs. There are thousands of apps that will be available, and literally at their fingertips!

Beginning literacy skills are the foundation of the rest of my students' educational career, I need the tools to jump-start their foundation.

Also, in Kindergarten, it is so important to keep track of their data. This laptop will allow me to assess and track their data from anywhere in the building.
