Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are highly motivated learners that love to acquire new information each day. Last year I was their fourth grade teacher and this year I had the pleasure to loop up to 5th grade with my class. I love seeing the progress that each one of my students makes each day.

My students are the first in their homes to learn to speak English.

My students parents encourage their children to get an education, but lack the literacy skills to help their children at home. Students in my classroom encourage each other to reach academic goals and model kindness throughout our school.

My Project

My students use technology everyday in the classroom. Our school district is a 1:1 device for students. My students would benefit from having a wireless mouse to use each day. The trackpads on our devices can be difficult to use at times. The wireless mouse would allow better control on their devices. At times when a student marks an answer the trackpad will change the answer and then students will get the answer wrong, even though they chose the correct answer.

The wireless mouse will also help students so that their wrist are not tired at the end of the day from using the trackpad.
