My students need transportation for the trip to Jefferson City, our state capitol. They will learn and tour where their state government officials help make decisions.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Cook's classroom raised $513
This project is fully funded
My Students
Our students may only have this opportunity to visit the capitol of our state. We will tour buildings that will enhance and further their understanding of how our state's General Assembly, Supreme Court judges, and the Highway Patrol work and the environment they work in.
Our school is a Title I school.
We take pride in helping our students learn about real world jobs and government, which run our state. Rules at school are similar to the state laws, and for our students to get to meet their Legislator and tour where the action of making laws happens will help solidify what they have learned in the classroom.
My Project
After learning how laws are made and the three branches of government in the classroom, getting to see where their government officials work, how beautiful, and nostalgic their capitol is, the students will have an experience that they will remember and talk about for years to come.
Our students might not ever have the opportunity to experience visiting or touring the Capitol building, Supreme Court building and courtroom, Governor's Mansion, and the Highway Patrol Museum.
They will be able to see where all of these state officials who make a difference in their real world work.
