This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

If you ask a child what they like most about school the majority of the time they will reply, "recess!" They enjoy being active and spending time with their friends outside. They like to talk and share what they know with other children.

I teach at a primary center school in Southern California.

It is a Title I school. 85% of the students at our school qualify for the free lunch program. My students love writing, reading, and dramatic play, but what they love most is being physically active. Their faces light up whenever they hear that I am going to teach them a new outdoor game for P.E.

My Project

It has been proven that physical activity helps a child's cognitive development. I am requesting a bean bag toss game, a ball hop, and hula hoops. I know they will greatly enhance their hand-eye coordination. In addition, these items will give them an abundance of self confidence. Our school is not equipped with such necessary games, so my students are currently unable to play any of them which I know they will enjoy.

Help my students have the same advantages as students at more affluent schools by funding my project.
