In Kindergarten, we love our fairy tale unit. I'm surprised every year by how many kids have never heard these stories. We learn lessons from the characters, compare different versions of the stories, learn about other cultures with their version of the stories, complete some fun projects for display, and even build our own little pig houses and test them with wind!
Please help us add more of these books to our classroom library for our fairy tale study.
These books and this unit is a favorite every year. Since they love the stories so much, comprehension is improved and it makes it so much easier to really dive into the story for comparing/contrasting and retelling the story as well. We even have a puppet show come to the school and a theater group to act out the stories. It's just a wonderful time and we'd really love to build upon what we have going on and add some new material to our library. Thanks so much for any help you can give. It will help my class year after year!
