My Project
I teach in a school that is culturally and linguistically diverse. My students are kind and inquisitive little human beings who thrive on opportunities to move and express their creativity, emotions, and energy. We are often singing, dancing, and making art as well as working on the core subjects of reading/language arts and math. There is a lot of joy in my classroom!
Green screen technology is such a dynamic medium through which our children can express themselves and lift their creative voices beyond the classroom.
For the past year, my students have been creating wonderful green screen projects tied with historical events, visual art, and personal dreams we want to share with everyone. These projects have also inspired and motivated my students to become better writers and artists, and have been the perfect way to integrate the arts!
We started off small with simple green screen photography and short video clips using equipment and resources I already have - an iPad, green screen, selfie ring, and apps such as DoInk for Green Screen. Now that we've gained more experience and have been coming up with more and more ideas for storytelling and videos, I feel that it's time for us to get an upgrade on some of our equipment. I am requesting a larger green screen backdrop with a sturdy stand, a pair of bright studio lights, and a tripod for better setup. Having these supplies will make it easier for us to produce quality green screen projects.
