Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am kindly requesting tablets for my High School scholars, to bring the access to technology and the opportunity to enjoy lab time with utilizing a language software three times a week. My students are eager to learn Spanish, as they see it as a big opportunity that will open extra doors in the employment field once they graduate.
Students will use the tablets, not only to listen and speak the language, but also record themselves as they speak.
As language learners it is important that the scholars research different cultures which Spanish is their first language and of course, this will develop an acceptance, appreciation and understanding awareness of these countries stories and impact to the world.
Scholars will create their own presentations using google slides/ power point where as a result of their research, instruct other classmates about visiting/ exploring Hispanic countries and use their language acquisition in real life situations.
