This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a reflective teacher. I frequently thinking about ways to advance the field of Physical Education. I want to change people's perception of what encompasses P.E. I want to see how students can incorporate real life concepts beyond school. I want my students to develop skills and engage with technology that will contribute to a self-sufficient life. Unfortunately, the district issued technology the students currently have are not compatible to have some applications such as photoshop, adobe, etc. , which will great exposure to develop a lifetime affinity towards keyboarding and computing.
I intend to set-up stations using this computer.
My students can use audio, interact with physical education websites, and utilize tools to track and analyze their progress. I also hope to engage them with videos on applications that they can use to learn the motor patterns of a new skills. Their current Chromebooks cannot power these applications. They glitch due to their outdatedness and district restrictions.
My students are special because they are curious and creative! They are technological savvy and can spend hours on the computer engaging with different games, activities, and social media platforms. I want our classroom to keep up with 21st century computing skills so that they may find some inspiration and be contributors to global problems one day.
