This school year, my school is adopting the use of Brag Tags. Brag Tags are a “dog tag” styled necklace for kids. Student will earn and collect Brag Tags for achieved goals. Brag Tags are a highly effective motivational reward incentive. It is the hope that students will get excited about the possibility of earning Brag Tags for a variety of things around school.
I would like to compliment the school Brag Tag program by integrating the use of Brag Tags in the fourth grade reading classes this year.
The majority of the fourth graders that will be in my reading classes this year are performing one to three grade levels below where they should be.
I want the students in my reading classes to get excited about school and especially about reading. I feel that the use of Brag Tags just might be a key to getting students excited.
