My Students

My students are from a small town with working-class people, who value education as a way to get ahead in life. Many of them could be the first generation to go on to a post-secondary school. They all have dreams but so often those dreams get put on hold due to a lack of some basic items that will show them what is out there for them. I feel like it is my duty as a teacher to show each of them that there are careers out there that they would succeed at and enjoy but so many of them don't even know that those careers are out there.

My Project

Many of my classes are growing and with more and more students coming through my class we are in need of more tools and machines so the students can keep their social distance while working on their woodshop projects. Many of the current tools and machines that we have are wearing out so to keep the students working we are in need of more sanders and another router.

I have so many special students who are looking to work more and stand around and wait less while in my class.

If I can get these machines into their hands we will keep them working and motivated.
