Help me give my students a rush of excitement by bringing learning games into our classroom such as the Reading and Writing Skills Folder Game Kit and Math Fact Folder Game LIbrary, we can't wait to use them.
"Some people make the world special just by being in it." - John Green
I love that my students come to school each day with a huge smile on their face ready to learn.
My students have been through more than a typical student, from past years. They have had to social distance, wear masks, and work from a screen more than I believe they should. With that being said I feel as though the Covid pandemic has impacted their education and social life. However, they continue to show up to school each day ready to learn!
My students are the future and I want to give them everything I can in hopes to impact their lives for the better. I feel like that makes them more than special, it makes them important.
My Project
I am wanting to overflow my classroom with educational materials that engage students in math and reading. By incorporating learning games that are not on a screen. This will encourage and teach children to share, take turns, root for each other, and practice communication skills. These activities will enhance independent work and small group rotations in all major subjects.
By utilizing these educational games into our classroom, I have confidence that my students will be engaged and excited when practicing their essential skills on core content.
I believe that most of my students are behind grade level because of the pandemic. With the incorporation of these games, students will gain knowledge and confidence while becoming successful in all subject areas. I will use these learning games in small group instruction, independent instruction, and during the occasional indoor recess. The games will target many of the areas my students need to improve in. Overall, it will be a great way for them to practice their core skills while also having fun!
