My Students

We are readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists. Our school is located in a small rural town in the Low Country of South Carolina. We are a Title I school in which 100% of our population receives free breakfast and lunch.

We know that collaboration helps us grow and develop, so we strive to be helpful friends and supportive classmates.

We are all different, but we fit together to make an extraordinary group of learners. We love learning, experimenting and being creative together to build teamwork in our classroom!

My Project

We are requesting a rug for our classroom to use during our story time, calendar, and whole group lessons. My students need a cozy carpet to invite them to learn. We spend most of our day on the floor and my students would love to have a comfy space of their own while they take on the learning challenges of kindergarten. Having this classroom rug will allow my students to stay focused on their learning instead of worrying about where and what they are sitting on. Carpet time is essential for forming a community of learners and allows for students to be a part of the classroom.
