Let's Get to the Point

My students need pencils, electric sharpeners, and erasers. There is not a day that goes by that I am not asked for a pencil and/or eraser by at least four students.

My Students

I teach in a second grade classroom. Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. As a result many cannot afford pencils and erasers which are basic needs for students in my classroom. While I don't mind providing these essential tools, it would be wonderful to have help.

My students are seven and eight year old children who love school.

They are excited to come to class every day. They work very hard to learn everything that they need to be successful. Our school is an average suburban school that has a wide range of students. I have students from middle class backgrounds. However, almost half of my students come from low income homes.

My Project

My students need pencils and erasers on a daily basis. These pencils and erasers that I am requesting will go a long way to supplying the students with the tools they need to complete the work that I ask of them. The pencil sharpeners will keep these pencils in good working condition.

I greatly appreciate any donations that I receive.

My students will also be very happy to know that there are people out there that they don't even know but who care about their success.
