Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The materials and supplies I'm requesting are the basics my students need to get down to business and have a successful year in CTE business class. High school can be very stressful for students, and I want to reassure them that they have every tool to start the year off great!

As a first-year Title I teacher, I'm having to start completely from the beginning.

The supplies like pencils, pens, paper, etc., will be used by the students to help them perform at their very best. The dry eraser makers, whiteboards, and buzzers will be used for activities to keep the students engaged and to incorporate different teaching techniques. The shelves, bin, folders and other office supplies will help the kids and me maintain organization with work assignments, homework, and activities. The rugs, sanitizer, and air purifier is to make sure that the student not only have a comfortable place to learn but as the cleanest.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand and not have concerns about how to acquire materials or supplies.
