My students need materials that will help them see how they are behaving, where they are in writing, games to boost their reading and places to store books.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. M.'s classroom raised $482
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Oh the places you'll go," said Dr. Seuss, and my students will be going places this year.
My class is a self-contained 2nd grade classroom in NYC.
These students require a smaller class setting to meet their needs. In a smaller setting, I am able to meet more of their individual needs. I am requesting many of the supplies that their previous teacher had to provide more consistency and make the new transition of a new teacher easier.
My Project
Having structure and a set routine is crucial for every classroom but especially those that include students with special needs. The pocket charts will help students monitor their own behavior, get more math practice and know where they are in writing at all times. The pocket chart stand will be a place where students will store their independent reading books. The writers notebooks will help them keep their writing organized and in one place. In each pocket chart, students will be able to clearly see their name and picture to tell them where they are.
All of these supplies minus the notebooks will be used with future students.
You are providing these students with an easy transition into 2nd grade and providing them with materials to grow and go to new academic places.
