This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach sixth grade to three different mathematics classes every year with thirty students. My students are located mostly in the Elmhurst and Corona areas of Queens which has been hit very hard by this pandemic.
Help me give Kleenex tissues, paper towels and basic school supplies to help start this year off right.
My students need notebooks, pencils, tissues, folders and erasers. Many students cannot afford theses basics to start off the school year.
