My Project

Hello! I am a first-year science teacher who is super excited to create an engaging learning environment for my diverse classroom. Many of my students are from low-income backgrounds and are refugees from countries like Afghanistan and Ukraine. Language barriers can make learning challenging, but hands-on experiences provide a powerful way to bridge that gap. By providing my students with hands-on learning materials, I aim to facilitate their understanding of complex scientific concepts and foster their creativity in brainstorming and implementing solutions to complex science-related issues that affect the local community. The latter I hope to better offer through engineering opportunities for students who may not otherwise have access to valuable tools otherwise, such as a 3D printer. Your support will make a significant impact on their educational journey, empowering them to excel in science, engineering, and beyond.

I need items to make learning science more hands-on.

This includes things such as manipulatives, thermometer guns, whiteboards, a 3D printer, software subscriptions, and chemicals.

I need your help because as a first-year science teacher, I am still building up my classroom resources.
