Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. I have never experienced a more empathetic group of students. With the home lives they live and lack of family support that many of them come from, one would expect than these students should be focusing on themselves. This is not they case with this class. They include each other and do their best to try and help fellow students learn. It is impressive how they work together.

Not only do these students work together, they work hard.

Even though they struggle on a project or activity when an adult might think it is does not look "as good" as my students tell one another that is does look nice because they recognize that their fellow classmate did their best.

This is a great group of kids who deserve the best.

My Project

As children grow up they need to be able to communicate clearly. One way people communicate is through writing. Becoming a good writer takes a lot of instruction and a lot of practice. A good program can help provide a good base, with good instruction students become stronger writers.

When a student can put what they are thinking into words their self esteem will rise and it will begin a wonderful cycle of learning.

The harder a student tries, the more successful they will be. The more success students see from their hard work, the greater their stamina in accomplishing difficult tasks will become and they will continue to try hard.

Supplies like colored pens that are used just for writing and special writing notebooks help make it special and something they look forward to.

All stages of writing are important and I look forward in helping my students become successful in their journey in becoming authors.
