Kindergarten is a special time for many of my students. For most, it is their first experience leaving their family and entering the world of schooling and education. It is my mission to create and inviting and enriching environment, with materials and hands-on-learning opportunities for my students from day one. Creating a community where students feel they are able to succeed is the main focus for my classroom. The kindergarten curriculum is rigorous and requires my students to be independent thinkers.
These students are amazing!
My students enter the classroom each morning ready to learn and put their best foot forward! These young minds grow exponentially each day. It is an amazing sight to see.
All students love to create and play while they learn. Learning sight words and other vocabulary words is tough work, I would love to add a little stampin' excitement to this process. I am requesting upper and lowercase letter stamps, ink pads and activity trays to keep our work fun, neat and organized. Stamping can be messy work. The trays will keep materials in one location and prevent ink from marking the tables.
The letter stamps and ink are incorporated into activities all year long!
Letter stamps are used in the beginning of the year to introduce the alphabet, later in the year for sight words, and finally to work on creating CVC words and sentences! Students love to use the brightly colored ink pads to create. They use them for the letter stamps as well as Fun Fridays free art center in my classroom. The trays keep our work neat and in one place. These simple materials will serve many purposes in the classroom and will be a great asset to my language arts activities.
