My Students

Can you imagine beginning to start a writing piece and not having a writing tool or being about to sharpen your pencil?

My students love to write and learn about different genres to write about.

Our school is located in a community with varying degrees of employment but many of my students come to school with very limited supplies. As a teacher I am only able purchase just so much supplies.

My Project

Pencils and the industrial size pencil sharpeners are in real demand in my classroom. My students do so much work that we go through so many pencils in day I can't even count. We have broken at least 3 pencil sharpeners and the little individual sharpeners barely last a day. We have borrowed a colleagues industrial size pencil sharpener and it works amazing and has lasted her a couple of years. This resources will cut down on the amount of time my students are trying to sharpen their pencils and more time to complete work.

A donation to this project will have my students spending more time working on projects for all subject areas instead of trying to sharpen pencils with broken pencil sharpeners.

We will be able refocus.
