My students need some fun games like connect four, parachutes, spikeball, Jenga, Cornhole, and Shuffleboard to get used for great behavior activities. Their names will be called from tickets they enter when they are SOARING around.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a low-income English language learning school where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our scores are at the bottom 5% statewide. Many students come from homes with little or nothing regarding print, text, and technology. They are very sweet kids who are excited about learning.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
They come to school with the idea that things will change: they will change, their future will change, their lives will change. My students attend school in Arvin, CA and go to school for a better life and future. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. I want to expose them to all I can, making the world more real and their futures brighter. We are in this together!
My Project
Our school uses a school wide behavior system called PBIS. This behavior system allows students to earn rewards for their good behavior. Most students have done a fantastic job of following our school wide rules: Safety First, Organized and on task, Act responsibly and Respect self and others (SOAR... we are the BME Hawks). Purchasing rewards can be very expensive when we have over 1000 students. . The rewards that my project asks for will be be done as drawings. For example, randomly during the day I will pull out SOAR tickets and whomever gets chosen may use the parachutes at recess. Another way will be using the last 15 minutes of the day have a drawing and it could be they come in for some corn hole, connect four, or shuffleboard. The lucky winners will randomly get chosen to come experience some fun playing games. The best thing about your donation is it helps everyone in every grade level. Our school also has one or two carnivals during the year that the students will enjoy spike ball, corn hole, connect four, parachutes, and the shuffleboard. These games cost now, but the money saved on spending for so many prizes will save us so much in the end. We are able to use these over and over. Plus, it gets them up and moving! It also gives them something to look forward to.
