My Project

Phonological awareness and phonics are essential for learning to read. The games and materials I am requesting will help my students with their phonological awareness and phonics skills since my reading intervention students come to me without these early reading skills. By reviewing these skills using games and hands-on materials, my students will have the opportunity to put these skills into their long-term memory and have the ability to use them when they are needed.

According to Elizabeth Hardwick, “The greatest gift is a passion for reading.” I want to give this gift to my reading intervention students.

Learning to read does not all come from a book. My students need extra help to learn the phonics skills necessary to become strong readers.
