Organizational folders allow students to take charge of their learning and practice what they have been working on in small group with the reading specialists. During independent work times these folders will help organize information needed to build more confidence in students. Currently, the folders we have are paper and packing tape has become a fixture in the classroom repairing them daily.
Parents state that their student is noticeably more engaged in their work and less frustrated when they have the proper support tools coming home with them.
The heavy duty plastic folders that I have selected will help my students by giving them the proper organizational tool that will stay together for the year! For those students who do not have support at home, these folders will be extremely beneficial as a tool. To remind them of the importance of practice at home.
I have seen the impact that practicing at home has had on student growth in reading! This will continue to positively affect my students work and demeanor at home!
