My Project

Having a class of preschoolers with varying special needs requires always trying to keep them engaged long enough to elicit language and model play and social skills.

Adding novel materials that are specific to their needs and different abilities allows these students to engage with the materials and develop play skills.

Since many of my students are non verbal, these materials also help foster social interactions and communication. Many are games or toys that can be played in small groups.

Another great thing about these materials is the sensory and fine motor development that also occurs when using them.
