Like most preschoolers, many of my students have never been in a school setting before. The beginning of this school year is a big transition for them. Many students have been at home with their parents and siblings the majority of the year (even more so recently due to Covid).
The students in my classroom come from a multicultural neighborhood in Brooklyn, many of them speak different languages at home.
Our Pre-K program gives children from all cultures, areas, and various incomes the opportunity to explore, socialize and thrive in the classroom.
My Project
A color printer will support visual learning for my Pre-K students, many of whom are English Language Learners. I want my classroom to be a print-rich environment that students can easily navigate around.
Colorful labels are a must-have in a Pre-K classroom!
I constantly need to print labels and photos of students, and this will be a game changer for my class. Students love seeing themselves in action and I would love to showcase their talents around the room. This project will enable me to print colorful newsletters for my families to strengthen our home-school connection.
