My Students
Our school is a rural school that serves many neighboring communities. We have a mix of abilities from those functioning several grade levels below their level, to those functioning much higher than their grade level. Our families are hardworking and do all they can to support their kids.
My students are rock stars and deserve everything, and if I could, I'd give them the world.

My Project
Let me be honest. I'm a super science nerd. I love it all...well...except physical science. It never used to be my favorite. Because I was the quiet one who liked science, I was the one kid in the front of the room with the magnet, the scale, etc. I did what the teacher (or the text book) said to do. I had fun - but had no idea what I was supposed to get from it. That's what I want to make different for my kids.
I don't want my kids to watch science being done, I want them to DO science!!
I am asking for wand magnets for my students that will allow them to explore physical properties and to help conduct investigations about them. Because they are wand magnets, they are easy to use, and are very strong magnets.
Density is one of those really hard scientific concepts for kids to grasp. The density rods are perfect for helping them actually see, hold, manipulate, and explore density and gain a stronger hold on how it works.
