I can not say enough positive things about my kids and their drive to learn. They are constantly surprising me while going through the normal struggles that middle school kids go through. But through it all, they are amazing!

My Project
Let's get physical. Let's take a closer look at physical features of the earth that is. During our first unit in World Geography we go over common landforms and waterways as well as several new ones to the kids. This year my kids struggles with several of the less predominate physical features. Since we use these physical features throughout the year as we travel around the globe in our classroom, it is important that my students not just know the vocabulary but understand the different aspect of the features.
My kids are learning that it's a small world after all as we make connections between our corner of the globe to the seven regions of the world.
This project is requesting three items. (1) Landform Discovery Pack Models - This is a set of models that have a multitude of landforms and waterways. They are in an 8 piece 3 dimensional set that can be used in a variety of ways to help the students understand the relationships between the different physical features. (2) Landform Activities book - This booklet will provide a wide variety of activities to help the students understand how physical features relate to how people in the area live and survive. (3) Laminating Pouches - These will be used to create activities for the students to use not only during this unit but others as we go traveling around the world.
I love my job, kids, and subject that I teach. This project will tremendously help with an area that I identified this year as a concept that needed something more. I want my kids to succeed not only in my class but in life. Please consider supporting this project and my kids.
