This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love my job and I love my students. Not a day goes by that I am not smiling, laughing, and having a blast. Don't get me wrong, there are many sad and stressful parts of my job as a Title I third-grade teacher. Many of my students have hard lives with many barriers, but nothing gets in their way or mine in making them lifelong learners.

This year my students need more hands on learning opportunities.

My students are back in the classroom this now after being online for over a year. We have enjoyed learning in a hands on environment and need more science and art materials.

Through love and understanding, a culture of acceptance, and a positive growth mindset, my students are on their way.

My Project

Reading about science is important, but so is getting to explore physically. My class just finished our science unit on forces and interaction. We had many opportunities to learn science with hands on experiences.

We will be starting our new science units in the new year, and my students need science kits to keep them engaged in learning about fossils and weather and climate.

These science tools will connect the readings and videos we watch to real life. My students will work in small groups to learn and explore science.
