This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There are several fundamental factors that can ease academic success. One of the factors is the ability to organize.
I have twenty-four students that are high energy and enthusiastic learners.
They enjoy hands on activities and read-alouds. Our school is located in a high poverty area and our students all receive a free breakfast and lunch. Almost all of my students are English language learners, but that does not deter them from working hard.
My Project
Organization skills are fundamental to success. Cubbies will help students learn, develop, and practice organization skills by providing a place where they can place their personal and school things. In addition, with the greater class size and limited space, the requested seat storage sacks will help maximize our available space. They will learn the importance of putting things where they belong and help them develop personal responsibility. With these skills, my students will be more effective during transition times and will help maximize our learning time. The more my students become proficient at organizing the more their innate talents, intelligence, and creativity will flourish.
The organization skills that you will help teach my students through the resources you provide will not only help our classroom run smoother, but it will also help my students develop life skills that will continue to unlock their full potential in school and in life.
