Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 1st graders in a bilingual Spanish-English K-8 public school. In our class, we work hard to become better readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and citizens while strengthening our different languages and learning about our heritage.
My students are inquisitive, bright, funny and wiggly.
They love listening to stories, creating new art projects and solving interesting math puzzles. Each one of them brings a unique blend of backgrounds, learning styles and strengths that makes our class stronger and better for everyone.
My Project
As we come back into our physical classroom this school year, we are thinking creatively on how to keep students safe and organized, and how to best utilize our space for learning and physical distancing.
These storage bags will allow us to keep our materials organized and clean, and our tables free of clutter so we can focus on learning.
In the past, we kept all of our materials together, sharing with all of our classmates. Now, in order to help keep all of us safe and healthy, we will need each student to keep, clean and organize their individual materials. Thank you for your help!
