My Students

Fifth grade is such a crucial time in a student's life. It is the age where they decide who they want to be. They are growing both physically and mentally. The students in my class are a group of 26 loving, responsible, sassy humans and I am honored to be their teacher.

In this room, we have a variety of backgrounds.

I have a wide range of abilities and each and every one of them brings something amazing into our space. These students want nothing more to succeed and make a great life for themselves and I am so lucky to be a part of their journey.

My Project

Since our class is in a portable classroom, we are very limited on our space. I try to keep the room as organized as possible so that the distractions of a mess don't take away from our learning. So much time from our day is finding things, putting things away, or gathering needed supplies. I think that if we had proper storage for notebooks, textbooks, and supplies, we could have a much more functional room.

I want to create an environment where my students can come in know exactly where their things go and get right to learning.

Donating to this project will allow me to turn our desks into tables and allow each student to have a small container for their personal items but the majority of their items will go in the plastic drawer organizer at their tables. Each table will also have a supply caddy for their pencils, markers, and other things they are willing to share with their table but the things they do not want to share will go into their own container. This will speed up our transitions and eliminate clutter in our room. Thank you so much for your help in making this happen!
