My students need an organized classroom with colorful storage bins, magnetic clips, an electric pencil sharpener, and other items that will keep our class organized.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Open House is right around the corner and I remember how I loved seeing my son's classrooms nicely organized with work displayed throughout the room. I want my students to work in an organized classroom and have their parents walk into an organized classroom that proudly displays their work.
This school year I have an awesome mix of students from kindergarten and first grade, yes...a K-1 split.
These students are such enthusiastic learners that I want to make certain that I feed their love of learning at the pace they crave it. My students attend a school in a low-income neighborhood and 100% of the students at our school receive free meals.
My Project
If we're fortunate enough to get the materials, they will all be used to give our classroom a "face lift." The bins will hold their unfinished work, instead of having stacks of paper on our bookcases. The magnetic clips will be used on our magnetic dry erase board. I'm most excited about these. I would want to put their names and pictures on each clip with their work clipped on. Our pencil sharpener is on its last leg and looks horrible. We would proudly display a new "working" pencil sharpener in our class. The double-sided tape will be used to put up some of their work on our classroom doors or cabinet doors.
From experience, I know that students love coming into a more organized and colorful classroom than one which is not so organized.
Although the stacks of papers on the bookcases are fixed neatly by the end of the day, having bins to place their work in would be a huge improvement and it would add pops of color to our room. I know my students will enjoy working in a more colorful and organized classroom. I hope we get that chance!
