This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Getting Organized! it is very important to teach children to be organized at a young age. Organization contributes to a child's independence and academic success.
My students are bright and eager 3rd grade learners.
They are always so energetic and enthusiastic about learning, despite the many challenges they may encounter in their daily lives. Our school is located in the heart of South Los Angeles where the majority of students come from very low income households. Many of their homes lack essential educational resources as well as basic necessities for living. Our school has a diverse population with a large concentration of English Language Learners.
My Project
My students need storage sacks to put all individual subject folders in. It is so important that they have a place to put their folders in a different place other than the desk, which is small and already being used up by the hard cover and work books that they have. They especially need one that is sturdy and easy for my students to access. With these storage sacks, each student will have their own space that is easily accessible to them because it is hung right over their chairs. This will save my students time from scrambling through their desk to find their folders that are tightly compacted in their desks or having to get up from their seats to get their folders from another area in the classroom.
I always want to provide the best learning experience for my students.
I believe that an organized classroom will benefit my students as it will save us time and teach my students the importance of organizational skills. Your contribution to this project will not only make a difference in our classroom but it will make a lasting impact on my students' success by building lifelong skills in organization and independence.
