Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Coming into 5th grade, my students are challenged to become more mature as they are leaving lower elementary school and entering upper elementary.
5th grade means a variety of new organizational styles.
Gone are the days of Trapper Keepers and folders for each subject. My students are now ready for binders and dividers, along with pencil boxes for supplies. Unfortunately, my kids come from high poverty backgrounds and need a little help getting their supply list completed.
My Project
These supplies may seem basic to you, but a brand NEW binder and dividers would mean the world to a student in poverty. They won't have to use an old broken binder from an older sibling, but can start the year off with new supplies. This allows the student to see the importance in staying organized and focused.
Please help fund this project so my students can gain access to basic organizational supplies!
They desperately need binders, dividers, and pencil boxes to stay on top of what we are learning in class.
