Help me give my students school supplies to help them stay organized in school and book series to get them to read books with characters and authors that they are already familiar with.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Starting on the first day of of 4th grade, I start teaching my students how to be organized. They are given binders and pocket folders to use throughout the school year to sort their schoolwork. These items help teach organization skills and also how to prioritize items.
By donating to my project, you will help my students stay organized, which is important for all my students to be successful.
The pocket folders will help them sort their work and easily find things, like homework. The pencil pouches will help my students find a pencil easily, while the headphones will allow my students to listen to books online.
My students also need more book series and books by favorite authors for our classroom library. Read aloud time is one of my students' favorite activity. I specially select a book to read to them. Of course, by the time we get to the end of the book, they are hooked and want to read more. That's when I recommend the rest of the book series for the students to read on their own. They also love to read other books by the same author. This project will help my students stay on top of their learning and also get them excited to read more!
