My students need equipment for physical education. Rubber balls, jump ropes, and basketballs will make PE fun for everyone!

My Students

Can you imagine trying to get 35 students to exercise with no equipment?

Tag is the number one PE game in my classroom because we have no PE equipment!

They get bored quickly with stretching and running laps and playing chasing games. My students need to keep active and they love going outside so all we need is some new equipment to make a difference.

My Project

With the majority of funds being used to implement the new common core state standards, PE equipment is last on the needs list. We hear about childhood obesity all over the news and Internet all the time. The only way to get my students out there with any moving is with equipment they can use and play with. Trying to get 35 students to play with either no equipment or 1 basketball is near impossible. We need equipment to get us moving and to stop us from being bored outside!

My project is important because my students need to learn healthy habits early.

They need to play games with each other outside -- not just on the computer at home. New equipment will get them excited and motivated!
