Let’s Get Moving! Recess Equipment for Active First Graders

Help me give my students equiptment to use to keep them active at recess time.

My Project

My energetic and playful first graders look forward to recess every day. It’s their chance to move, laugh, and build important social skills through play. But right now, our recess equipment is very limited, and it’s hard for all students to participate in the activities they love.

We’re hoping to add basketballs, kickballs, soccer balls, and jump ropes to our playground so that every child has a chance to stay active and engaged during recess.

These simple items help promote teamwork, coordination, and physical health, and they make recess so much more fun!

With this new equipment, my students will be able to build teamwork and cooperation through soccer and basketball, develop coordination and confidence with jump rope activities, stay active, which supports focus and learning back in the classroom, and learn important social-emotional skills through cooperative play.

Play is an essential part of learning, especially at this age. Your support will help my students not only have fun but also grow stronger physically, emotionally, and socially.
