My Students
We are an inner-city classroom in a large, urban district in Ohio. We are looping for next school year and will be together for 2 years for math and science.
We'd love to use #BestSchoolDay to have the supplies we need to have a great school year starting in early August.
It seems a little crazy, because the school year hasn't ended, but in 4 short months, we start 5th grade together. Keeping the class and teacher together for multiple years allows for greater academic gains. I will already know the strengths and weaknesses of each child. With your help, I can spend my summer planning for their success instead of spending weeks scrambling for supplies.
My Project
My students and I are excited to move up to 5th grade together and would like to have all our supplies in place to start the year running. We have made so much progress together, but we have a large task ahead of us to get everyone on grade level, and having supplies in our hands on day one would be a huge help.
Most of my students come to school without supplies and I end up purchasing almost everything they need.
It will be such a relief to our families to know that everything we need to be successful is already in place and we don't have to start the school year ashamed that we don't have the necessary tools to be successful.
