This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an educator, I need to be able to communicate important ideas to my students. Last year, I gave in and bought myself a professional license to Canva so I can create specialized computer science learning aids to help my classes. Rather than purchase resources on Teachers Pay Teachers or other sites, I'd rather use my own skills so that my students can benefit from the posters I create specifically for them.
In order for me to use my large-format printer to create high-resolution, beautiful posters, however, I need the ink cartridges to replace the ones that came with the printer.
Once I have these ink refills, I can continue to work on charts, posters, and decorations that will continue to inform and motivate my students to develop their computer science skills. Middle school students rely on visual aids, but the 50" display screen in my classroom is hard to see from across the room, which is why I rely on creating posters and handouts for my students. Ink doesn't sound like a big deal, but not being able to create visual aids is a serious detriment to all my students. Thanks for considering my project!
