My Project

Our students are constantly browsing the graphic novel/manga section and we always need more titles. Now that restrictions have eased and more students can come visit the library and check out, we are encouraging them to read what they like. We plan to feature these new books to entice students to come in and check something out.

Reading is fundamental to all subjects so giving students what they like to read could be the difference between success and failure.

My English Language Learners can especially benefit from having a large collection of graphic novels since the new language is accompanied with images to aid in understanding. It's important to reach kids where they are and these books can do just that.
