My Students
Welcome to Hollywood! I have a beautiful, diverse group of superstars. Our rural, school of the arts, is the home to 390 students in grades Pre-k through 5th grade. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions regardless of their background. More than a third of students at our school come from low-income households.
My superstar students come to school every day with a smile on their face eager to learn in the spotlight.
I consider myself very fortunate to be their teacher!
My Project
This project will better engage students and empower them with choices by providing diverse seating options. Flexible seating aids in collaborative learning, promotes a positive classroom community, in addition it can promote healthy, kinesthetic learning.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
As fourth graders, they often like to move around and are not always comfortable sitting in a traditional chair at a desk. This is especially true since the students have spent quite a bit of the past year learning from home and in many different settings. With your generous donations my students will have more options of where they get to sit and learn.
