Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class consists of bilingual students who are English language learners and have been classified with special needs. Many of them come from low-income families and some live in shelters. My students are transforming human beings that love to explore their world. They are observant of everything and question the world. This year I am getting the opportunity to work with an all-boys class. These boys are either in fourth or fifth grade.
Being fully equipped for field day will get them excited and boost their self-esteem.
The majority of my scholars are from low-income families, so their parents don't have enough money to ask them to get field day ready. Many of these kids sometimes feel left out when they see that other classes and other students all wear uniforms. Baseball caps, water bottles, water to refill their bottles and healthy snacks will help tremendously.
