My Students

I am a teacher in a public school that is located on a military base. The majority of my students are military dependents who come from many different states and even different countries. But they have one thing in common, an inquisitive mind. They come to school every day with smiles on their faces ready to start the day. They have a positive attitude and are ready and willing to learn new things.

I want to encourage their curiosity by introducing them to various hands-on STEM activities.

I believe they will be encouraged to become more creative and see that there may be more than one solution to a problem.

My Project

These requested five sets of Snap Circuits will be used to enhance my students' experiences working with electricity and circuits. They will be able to either follow the various project instructions or create their own circuitry and learn first hand how circuits work.

This project will be used to further their STEM education.

My students will enjoy building the many different working models of a photo sensor, a flashing light, and an adjustable-volume siren, without even realizing that they are learning. This grant will ensure that all of my students will have an opportunity to create and explore.
