This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students' daily lives were upended by the Corona virus. Our school, a safe haven to many, was suddenly shut down with no date in sight of when we could be reunited.
Students have been forced to continue learning at home, alone!
They have persevered and interested in succeeding but it is no doubt a challenge as many do not have enough experience with the self-management skills for a holistic remote learning experience.
My Project
During remote learning, students did not want just uploaded worksheets to work out on paper. Teachers Pay Teachers has great activities that are tailored to digital platforms such as Google slides, and Google docs that students can work on interactively.
By using these activities, I am able to give my students quality work that assesses their understanding, while also providing a fun interactive experience while being away from the classroom!
My students worked very well on these activities when I used them in the past and it was more engaging than posting basic worksheets. I would like to continue using these during remote learning to enrich the remote learning experience.
