My Project
My young students love art! They love using glue, glitter, colored cardstock, and more! My students enjoy exploring and using different craft items! Creative expression is an important part of learning and growing!
Arts and crafts activities give my students with Autism a sense of achievement, and allows them to take pride in their work, which builds confidence!
Art is a wonderful way to help my students improve their fine motor skills. Working with art and using different craft items helps to improve hand strength and finger dexterity! Arts and crafts are also important in helping my students develop imagination, improve fine motor skills, and develop self-expression!
Sadly, we have run out of our cardstock, which my students love to use! Cardstock is more sturdy and does not tear as easily as construction paper. This is helpful for my students with special needs. Sometimes paper tears, and it causes my students to become upset. Cardstock is sturdy and fun to use! It also comes in a variety of bright colors, which is motivating for my students! In addition, we need glue sticks because it is the end of the year and our supply has run out. Glue sticks are important for adding small craft items to our cardstock!
We are also requesting an array of glitter to add to our projects! Our students love glitter, especially in a rainbow of colors to choose from!
Finally, we are asking for colored tissue paper to add to our projects. Our students work on tearing the colored tissue paper into small squares and they glue these squares onto their cardstock for added fun!
