Help me give my students art supplies like a drying rack, a sponge painting design set, and other art materials to further enhance their creative abilities.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are extremely excited about expressing their creative abilities. They are looking forward to the Visual Arts and using a variety of art supplies to make drawings, paintings, projects, and sculptures. Currently, the students are in need of different tempera paint colors, dot painters, paintbrushes, paint cups, kwik stix painters, sponge painters, and easel paper to create drawings/paintings. A dry rack is also needed so that they have a place to dry their work. The students also need sticker eyes, foam shapes, and giant stencils set for when they work on projects and incorporate art through different means. They also need a variety of playdoh tools, such as dough scissors, rollers, and design wheels, for when they express their artistic abilities through sculpting.
All the materials requested will help students develop their Visual Art skills.
Art consists of building fine motor skills, self-esteem, expression, creativity, cognitive skills, and neural connections. Each of these areas connects to the students' overall development, which is also displayed in other subject areas. For example, enhancing fine motor skills through art also translates into developing writing skills. I know that through the materials requested, my students will not only strive creatively but also prosper academically and socially.
