My Students

My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all backgrounds. They bring a blend of diversity, prior experiences, and culture to our school. I teach in a Kindergarten inclusion classroom where several of my students receive special education services for a range of disabilities, including intellectual, emotional, autism spectrum disorder, and many other specific learning disabilities. Many of my students also receive ESL services. The majority of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

They are a fun-loving hard-working group of students that are eager to learn and grow!

My Project

My kindergarten students love drawing and creating. I want to provide my students with tissue paper, card stock, glue, pompoms, pipe cleaners, google eyes, craft sticks, watercolor paints, and other art and basic supplies.

These art supplies will allow my kindergarten students to show off their creativity through art, writing, and drawing.

I will be creating art supply kits to send home with each of my kindergarten students as we are learning remotely. I believe these art supplies will make a difference in my student's remote learning by giving them a wide variety of materials they can manipulate and create art with.
