This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My TK and kindergarten students have been very enthusiastic and have shown determination when learning on Zoom. Due to our current situation, we have continued to work through distance learning. Although it's not easy, my students have persevered and are doing their very best to succeed. Learning through distance learning has been a challenge, but, with the proper tools, our students can be successful.
Our students attend a small but very culturally diverse school.
Our classes are made up of students speaking Armenian, Tagalog, Bengali, Spanish and their second language, English.
My Project
My students are full of curiosity and are always wanting to know more about how things work and how they can add their own touch to things. Having hands-on materials allows for that curiosity to grow. I want to help develop their language by providing students a chance to express themselves by sharing their designs during online learning.
With these kits, my students will be building and dreaming up so many different designs that will inspire them to become creative thinkers.
These design pieces snap together to make straight lines, curvy structures and letter shapes. They will also build students' eye-hand coordination.
