Let's Get Creative

My students need craft supplies, such as paint, construction paper and glue, to allow them to express themselves in a creative way!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Adams's classroom raised $183

My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school with students who come from low-income or high poverty homes, my students are faced with challenges in and outside of the classroom. All of the students in my class receive free breakfast and lunch at school, sometimes these meals are all that they may get for the day. Some of the students in my classroom live in shelters, motels or are living with family members or friends.

There are 9 students in my classroom with moderate to severe disabilities that come to school every day with the biggest and brightest smiles on their faces.

My classroom is specially structured to meet their needs. We strive to provide a full educational experience for all students, incorporating social skills, community skills, and functional skills into our daily routines.

My Project

My students love to be creative. They each have their own individual and unique personalities. I would love for them to be able to express their creativity and styles in an artistic way. My students would use construction paper, glue, googling eyes, pipe cleaners and pom poms to create some of the most incredible art projects you may have ever seen. Many of my students receive occupational therapy services to help improve their fine motor skills.

Being able to have a classroom full of art supplies to help build upon those new and emerging skills is just what they need!

Not only would these supplies help their therapy needs, it would also be a way to supplement the curriculum with some hands on learning! Just think about all of the wonderful creations my students could make if they had the materials they needed!
